Ascom Group Communication – Improving Safety and Efficiency through Wireless Communication
 Group communication functionality allows Ascom’s wireless handsets to initiate a conference session with the press of a button. Exclusive full-duplex features and customization set Ascom’s group communication and handsets apart from other offerings in the marketplace. At the push of a button, a user sends an invitation to the wireless handsets of a pre-defined group of people, such as a Crash Team in healthcare or a HazMat team in manufacturing. Team members receive an alert message and with the press of a button they are connected to a full-duplex conference session with the members of the group. Quick and continuous exchange of time-critical information can now take place.
Group sessions can be triggered either from programmed buttons or menus on the Ascom handset. Up to ten unique conference or Push-To-Talk (PTT) groups can be initiated from a handsets’ PTT menu or via its soft keys and hot keys. Additionally, alerts from underlying alarm systems such as nurse call or building management can initiate group conference sessions for accelerated team communications. Group communication is possible with both Ascom’s VoWiFi and IP-DECT solutions. |

The Ascom d81 handset is a unique combination of robustness and sophistication. A tough design coupled with an outstanding level of functionality and operating safety make it the natural choice for users demanding operational excellence in the most challenging settings.
